With more than 8,600 members, MEC has a strong base of business support.  MEC supports education and pushes for what's needed to gain a well-trained workforce.   • Pinnacle: This is the highest level of membership. Designed for the state’s top corporations. Leaders from Pinnacle-membership level companies have made a significant contribution in improving Mississippi’s competitiveness.
  • Capstone: This level of membership is designed for statewide corporations with a major multi-location presence, 1,000 or more employees, and a desire to make a significant statement about their participation in Mississippi’s future
  • Keystone: This level of membership is designed for multi-location and/or Mississippi-headquartered locations with significant employment and a strong interest in developing a high leadership participation in Mississippi’s future. 
  • Milestone: This level of membership is designed for Mississippi companies looking to reach beyond their foundation of strong support of MEC and its programs and be active in promoting a strong business climate in Mississippi.
  • Cornerstone: This level of membership is designed for companies with a single location in Mississippi with fewer than 1,000 employees, seeking to demonstrate a foundation of strong support of MEC and its programs.  
  • Foundation: This level of membership is designed for companies with a single location in Mississippi, seeking to demonstrate a foundation of strong support of MEC and its programs. 
  • Chair’s Council: This level of membership is designed for smaller companies with a strong focus on the future of Mississippi.Supporter: This level of membership is designed for smaller companies who want to begin demonstrating a higher level of support.
  • Participant: This level of membership is designed for small companies who want to be involved but are not ready to invest at a higher level.

Membership dues to the Mississippi Economic Council may be deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense for income tax purposes.  A portion of the dues, however, is not deductible to the extent that the Council is engaged in State and/or Federal lobbying efforts.  The non-deductible portion of dues for the year is 20 percent.  MEC dues are not deductible as a charitable contribution.
